Coding for Medicine - Level 1
This hands on module introduces you to the Python programming language through a series of problem solving exercises. It is designed for those without any prior coding experience.
Overview
In this introductory coding camp, you will -
- - help mushroom hunters stay away from poisonous mushrooms,
- - learn to identify living organisms from their sequences and be introduced to the 'google' for DNA data,
- - code in Python programming language,
- - see how coding helps in modern biology and medicine,
- - develop computer algorithms to analyze DNA and protein sequences.
Prerequisites
None. Limited to advanced middle schoolers and high schoolers.
